key driver for progress across the African continent and enforcer for effectiveness and sustainable economic growth

“We seek Coordination with the goals set by African institutions and initiatives”

Infrastructure development is essential for growth across Africa and a crucial enabler for efficiency and sustainable economic growth. Businesses are growing at unprecedented rates in the African environment.
Whilst the infrastructure and infrastructure services gap in Africa stays high, there is growing movement and investment on the continent against a background of an impressive long-term plan for closing Africa’s infrastructure gap.
However, there is an essential point missing: THE PRIVATE SECTOR and its experience. Major involvement should come from the private sector.
International Transfer Centre for Infrastructure Development in Africa (ITIDA) (e. V. in course of formation) is the association that supports closing the infrastructure gap by enabling the systematic transfer of technology and know-how between more industry experienced countries and Africa with the support of the private sector. It provides a framework that enables companies to apply their expertise. This approach has already been successfully introduced worldwide and has also been proven successful in Africa.
At the same time, ITIDA offers African authorities, state-owned enterprises and private companies access to vital know-how and technologies from all over the world. This way, the initiative contributes to the improvement of economic circumstances and thus the overall situation.
ITIDA aims to transfer technology and knowledge from global institutions to Africa, considering the aspects of safety, reliability, and life-cycle extension of existing and new technical infrastructures.
